Goths and their "pale" skin

for a few years i have always wanted pale skin, mainly because i feel as though people would think that i'm more goth that way, and another reason why is that i have always been facinated with pale skin. this topic  has been steaming hot in the goth community for a while and everyone goes from home remiedies to skin bleach just to get that all famous "goth skin" so not only other people who are not goths, but also so other goths will think that they are just as goth as the next person. for all of you who were born with the genetics of tan skin i know how you feel, i too have tan skin and i know the struggle for some of us trying to find a fast and easy way to get pale skin, believe me i do with all those long nights or school hours trying to find soaps, lotions, masks, and chemicals trying to get paler and then they fail every-time. I also know the feeling of wanting to give up and just scream "WHY DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE ME TAN!!!" straight to the sun, but latley i have been so busy with school that i haven't had time to make my skin paler, but i have had time to question why pale skin is such an important thing to the goth culture. Now im not saying that all goths think that if you dont have pale skin then u are not goth, but there is a enough of them to make some of us tan goths feel self-consious about our skin. The questions roaming in my head are the same everyday "why do some goths call us posers if we have tan skin?" "why do i feel preasured to get skin white as snow?" "i remember when i jut wanted pale skin because it looked pretty, so why do i feel now that i have to have it or else im not pretty?". So why do many of us think this way? I'll tell you why, because there are many goths who think that a goth with tan skin is a poser, there are also movies, books, social media pictures, and descriptions about the goth culture that make it seem that way.

  1. (I'M SO SORRY IF THIS IS LATE) Being goth is mainly about enjoying the culture and the music and everything about beign goth, having pale skin is only a small portion of being goth in fact, there are African-American goths and Hispanic goths who have "dark skin" . But if you really insist in having pale skin, I recommend using an umbrella when walking in the sun also you can make a milk mask, and make sure you stay away from the Sun as much as you can, and wear lots of sunscreen, you can also do skin bleaching but I do not recommend you doing it because it may damage your skin, hope this helped!
